Paradise Beach Agates Found by Mike Jansen

(Last Modified August 13, 2010)

Mike Jansen lives near Paradise Beach. He works for a local lumber company and frequents Paradise Beach on weekends or prime time after a storm turns over the beach. He has an expert eye for Paradise Beach agates. I had the pleasure to meet Mike in the Summer of 2010 and found his collection to be excellent and true to the Paradise Beach variety on Minnesota's North Shore. Mike is an agate man and he doesn't part with them easily! Here are photos of a few I acquired from Mike although this represents only a small sample of his total collection. Most of his best remain unphotographed and in the pail he carries them! Till we meet again Mike, happy hunting!
