My Mom found this eye popper
on Paradise Beach after I
apparently stepped over it. It's our best agate eye ever.
The Amethyst on the back side gives this eye a bluish tint
in the white ring.

Beach agate. Each eye is 1/16" or larger, but, smaller than 1/8".
The quartz side has been face polished.
|
|
Agate ID: agate_160
Weight 0.2oz. 3/4" x 5/8" x 5/8". Sold. Kinda looks like a
Simpson's character. The quartz exposure on the bottom has
been rough faced. The stone is off-balance, but, the
side-by-side eyes are interesting nonetheless.
|
|
Agate ID: agate_161
Weight 0.2oz. 3/4" x 5/8" x 5/8". Sold.
A brilliant eye with two-thirds left to the imagination.
The bold part of the eye will measure
3/8" when fully exposed. The outer pink rings
bring the diameter near 1/2". The light pink husk on this eye
is unusual and seems Thompsonite-like.

|
|
Agate ID: agate_271

Twenty five pin-point precion eyes on this nicely shaped and balanced 'blue'. Only lacking a
bit more luster. Fine tubes exist near the dark patch.
|
|
Agate ID: agate_283
Weight 6 grams. 1/2" x 5/8" x 7/8".
Often when a classic Paradise Beach nodule is face polished, small eyes are exposed.
This particular nodule is quartz filled and eyes seemingly float on top of
the quartz center.
